Welcome to Southampton, the south coasts premier shopping and entertainment capital.

Within easy walking distance from the Glenmore Guest House, Southampton's city centre has long been the place to be seen when shopping at West Quay or dining out at one of the many restaurants in the city, Or if you prefer your food in the more traditional English county pub, the spectacular New Forest is a short drive away.

The new forest is home to the world renowned forest ponies and has also been home to more than its share of famous people.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle lived locally in minstead and wrote one of the Sherlock Holmes mysteries whilst staying there, and the author Lewis Carol, the creator of Alice in wonderland, spent many happy times here!

If you are a motor cycle or car enthusiast, there is something for everyone at beaulieu, learn about the lifestyles of the Cistercian monks of beaulieu abbey and get up to speed with formula one racing cars and see other great motoring treasures in the national motor museum.

You could enjoy a weekend break with us, and visit the wonderful Mayflower theatre hosting many of the top west end shows and why not combine the theatre and shopping!

Why don't you visit Southampton's famous annual boat show, and dockyards now used by the worlds most famous cruise liners, and view the actual dock the Titanic left from on her last voyage.

Take time to visit the city's historic Bargate and Tudor house and walk the supposedly haunted city walls…built by the Saxons and still standing!
